Sparkplug Basics
Sparkplugs that fire in open air may NOT necessarily fire
under compression. This is due to increased operating
pressures within the cylinder that are not present in an open
atmosphere.
This means that even if your sparkplug fires outside the
cylinder, it may not fire while inside. Seeing the sparkplug
firing outside the cylinder, gives the troubleshooter a false
sense of certainty that the sparkplug is trouble free. If you
can tell that the sparkplug is firing under compression, then
you will know definitely that the problem is fuel related.
Knowing that there is high voltage present does NOT
guarantee that the sparkplug fired inside the cylinder.
The OK Spark™ brand Spark Plug Sensor will indicate that
both high voltage is present AND that the sparkplug is firing
under compression. The indication of this information is
simultaneous and immediate. This is the only handheld
microcontroller-based tool in the world that does this.

Engine Problems?
Misfiring Plugs?
MISFIRING PLUGS = Poor Performance, Loss
in Power, Bad Fuel Economy
Safely checks for actual spark activity NOT just high
voltage. You can have high voltage but no spark! Also shows
misfiring plugs so you can replace the bad ones improving fuel
economy and overall engine performance.
Comparison
In the spirit of technical comradery, we
invite and welcome any sparkplug tester manufacturer to do a
side by side comparison with our OK Spark™ Spark Plug Sensor.
We are confident that there is no other hand held
microcontroller-based tool like it in the world and would be
happy to compare products.
OK Spark™ is the fastest indicator of real spark activity
under compression in the world. There is no special training
or knowledge required to use it.
Simply bring the probe (included) near the sparkplug boot
and watch for the spark light to light up. If it doesn't, then
no spark occurred inside the cylinder. video
